BO4124 Medicinal Plant Harvesting, Processing and Use

In this course, students are introduced to the best practices for harvesting and processing various plant parts for medicine making. Students learn basic quality control procedures related to the processing and storing of herbs. The categorization of plant therapeutics and techniques for herbal preparations from garden and wild-harvested herb are covered. This is a hybrid course with online asynchronous components and a two day in-person intensive in June.
