BO4127 Mycology
This course focuses on the ecological role of mushrooms in building and maintaining an edible landscape. An overview of mushroom cultivation techniques is provided. Students learn about mycoremediation and mycofiltration and how mushrooms can be used to transform toxic wastes into less harmful substances, mitigating environmental degradation. Indoor and outdoor cultivation techniques will be demonstrated in the gardens. Course content will be delivered in a hybrid format with online asynchronous content and an in-person component.
