Hazing Policy
Bastyr University is dedicated to promoting a safe and healthy campus environment for its students, faculty and staff. Given this commitment, Bastyr University prohibits hazing of any kind at all campuses and facilities. Hazing is defined as acts likely to cause physical, psychological or educational harm or social ostracism to any person within the University community when related to admission, initiation, joining or other group-affiliation or classroom activity. The willingness of the individual to engage in the activity does not negate the policy. Hazing is a direct violation of the University Civil Rights Policies, and any allegations of hazing will be adjudicated under the University Equity Resolution Process. This policy applies to all members of the Bastyr community.
