AM7103 Pharmacology of Pain Management
The course examines the pharmacology of pain management using prescription drugs including pharmacotherapy, adverse effects, and toxicology. Included are discussions of analgesics such as non-steroid anti-inflammatories from various categories including paracetamol, opioids and opiate-like drugs, corticosteroids, and drugs, which relieve pain due to single causes or specific pain syndromes, not classified as analgesics. This is a hybrid course.
