AM8402 Nutrition, Botanicals and Supplements

In this module, the role of TCM dietary therapy is investigated, as well as Western nutrition, inflammation and pain. The broad categories of herbs and supplements that may be of particular use are brought forward, as well as specific formulas and aids. Students learn how to identify and prescribe food, herbs and supplements in keeping with patients’ TCM diagnoses for painful conditions. This is a hybrid course.
