The first digit indicates the year/level at which the course is offered:

1xxx Freshman prerequisite courses

2xxx Sophomore prerequisite courses

3xxx Junior BS Program

4xxx Senior BS Program

5xxx-8xxx Graduate and Professional level courses

9xxx Electives (undergraduate and graduate)

The second digit indicates the type of course:
