Graduate Students
Master’s Students
Minimum Requirements
To be fully admitted to a master’s degree program at Bastyr University, students must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree1 from a college or university recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the U.S. Department of Education.2
- Achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.0 unless otherwise specified by the program.
- Complete the program prerequisite requirements.
1Credits from MEAC or ACAHM accredited programs may be accepted for transfer midwifery programs or Acupuncture and East Asian M programs, respectively.

Application for Admission
Master’s students must submit the following materials to be considered for admissions for a graduate program:
- Nonrefundable application fee of $75
- Official transcripts from all previously attended higher education institutions
- Current resume or CV if required by the program
- Completion of an interview if required by the program

Accepting the Offer of Admission
All applicants will receive an email communicating their admission decision. For students who are admitted, an enrollment deposit of $200 is required to formally commit to attending the University and to secure a space in the program.
- Deposits must be submitted online through the application portal and must be received within 30 days of notice of admission to guarantee a seat in the program.
- Deposits are refundable for up to six business days.
- The deposit payment is credited to the student’s account and applied toward the initial tuition payment.
Doctoral Students
Minimum Requirements
To be fully admitted to a doctoral program at Bastyr University, students must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from a college or university recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the U.S. Department of Education.
- Achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and prerequisite GPA of 3.0.
- Complete the program prerequisite and licensure requirements.
Application for Admission
Doctoral students must submit the following materials to be considered for admissions for a graduate program:
- Nonrefundable application fee of $75
