BC5118 Disease Processes 1

This course is designed for nutrition master’s students and satisfies Master of Science in Nutrition with Didactic Program in Dietetics (MSN-DPD) requirement for a Pathology course. This course covers the fundamental concepts of pathology, including cell injury, cell death, adaptation, inflammation, repair, and basic immunology. The course applies these concepts to discuss the common pathologies of hemodynamic, hematopoietic, lymphoid, gastrointestinal tract, and cardiovascular systems. Nutrition Assessment and Therapy 1 and Advanced Nutrition: Micronutrients are taken concurrently.
