NM7308 Internal Medicine I
Internal Medicine I is the first of a two part clinical course covering core adult medicine across organ systems, chronic disease management, and integrative therapeutics. The sequence emphasizes diagnostic reasoning, appropriate use of imaging and laboratory testing, evidence based naturopathic interventions, therapeutic exercise, diet and nutrient therapy, and safe pharmaceutical management including herb/drug and supplement/drug interactions. Internal Medicine I covers core systems: endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, and digestive systems; basic pharmacology and diet/nutrient therapy for these systems; diagnostic imaging and evaluation skills.
